Any appropriate home remidies or cures for snoring?

I have a bad snoring problem...its embarrasing and i am other sleepy during the day due to lack of sleep...any suggestions?

I'm also trying to cure my snoring problem....and I thought I be the only one that's sleepy all the time.

See your doctor and procure a referral for a sleep study. You may have sleep apnea which is much more serious than just the embarassment of snoring. The doctors can recommend solutions (CPAP tool, surgery, sleeping positions) that are much better than any OTC solution that I've encountered for serious snoring (I have a people member who snores).
I know that people with chronic snoring hold conditions that can be remedied with surgery.

If you go to the doctor, explain your situation. There are a few simple test that they perform to figure out the best approach for the problem.

And next . . . please take care of it. It can put greatly of stress on relationships. Never mind your partner, just for your own anxiety and embarassment.

I wish I could find something for my boyfriend, after another sleepless dark for me, he almost got smothered last hours of darkness! I actually weighed the pros and cons of smothering him. God know I had enought time to think just about it all last darkness!

Since my boyfriend refuses to do anything about it, I just have 2 recourses right now.

1. Buy industrial earplugs
2. Revisit the smothering plan.

Honestly there are no home remedies for snoring. If you are tired during the daylight then you have more going on after just snoring. Get a sleep study done and see if you have disordered breathing. Treatment would be a cpap device which will stop the snoring and any other breathing disorder you have going on such as apneas or hypopneas. Its a common misconception that with the sole purpose overweight people have this. And you do NOT hold to stop breathing to have disordered breathing and be treated. Good luck

i hear you can sew a cork onto the back of a pj top, and that way whenever you try to roll over onto your back( which would be when you are most imagined to snore) you would be forced to roll over, therefore you wouldnt snore. it sounds silly but ive heard it minister to other people.

Either buy yourself a better mattress that conforms to your novel body shape (like a Simmons Beautyrest) or buy one of those Tempur-pedic neck pillows. The neck pillows come up to run into the curve of your neck and cradle it. That allows your breathing to be less inhibited.

My dad got nasal surgery and stuff years ago which help. Also your weight, if your not as heavy, you usually tend to breathe better and your heart works better so smaller amount snoring. So exercise.

No, not really. The one entry that might help is to lose weight, if you're overweight and to stop smoking, if you're a smoker. Other than that, you should budge see a doctor if it keeps you, or those around you, awake at night.

you should first go to the doctor to have them diary a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea. The fact that you are so sleepy during the day suggests that you might enjoy it, which is very dangerous because you in fact stop breathing several times a night, and it's hard on your heart. So basically go get that checked out first. If it's not sleep apnea, later losing weight sometimes helps, it did beside my ex husband. Your doctor will have more suggestions.
try sewing a tennis ball inbetween the shoulders of your pyjamas that will stop you lying on your rear.if that doesn't work jam the tennis ball contained by your mouth, that will definately work!!
