Hi!
For best advice, and indisputable remedies and treatments acces http://www.snoring-advices.com. I found it very useful and practice.
There are several reasons why your dad snore.
1) Age can be a factor. Weak throat muscles cause the surrounding tissues to hang down and vibrate.
2) If overweight, throat tissues are less firm and more inclined to jerk when you breathe.
3) A low-set, thick soft palate, or enlarged tonsils or adenoids (the spongy tissue between the back of the trunk and throat) can narrow the airway.
4) A longer-than-normal uvula (the triangular piece of skin that hangs from your soft palate) can confine airflow and increase vibrations as breathe.
5) Nasal blockages caused by allergies or a deviated septum.
6) Alcohol and certain drugs.
7) When he sleep on his pay for, his tongue falls backwards into his throat which can narrow his airway and partly block airflow.
Some cause of snoring (listed above) are the result of lifestyle habits. By altering these habits, he can stop - or at lowest minimise - his snoring.
Try to maintain a healthy diet and substance.
Regular exercise will improve muscle strength.
Avoid alcohol before bedtime.
Keeping the body contained by alignment, which could include raising the head of the bed, may serve reduce snoring. This should be done by raising the team leader of the bed itself or by making sure that pillow is at the correct height.
