Medications would be reserved for medically oriented sleep problems. Try a proper pillow which can abet keep the airway open. If this approach does not work, you should hope a medical consultation, as snoring may be a sign of a more serious medical condition.

Wear earplugs or, if it is you that snores, get your partner to wear earplugs.
When my partner snored I used a club hammer. Mind you, she doesn't voice or do much now, just lies within bed all day, and if i'm honest, she's starting to smell a bit.
You would be better to see your doctor first to find out what is cause the snoring. Then ask his advice on what is best to do about it.
SORRY TO SAY BUT NONE OF THAT STUFF WORKS....IT GOES A LIL DEEPER THAN A STICKY STRIP ACROSS YOUR NOSE....IN MY SON'S CASE WHEN HE WAS 8 HIS SNORING WAS CAUSING HIM NOT TO SLEEP WELL, WHICH RESULTED IN HIM FALLING ASLEEP IN CLASS AT SCHOOL AND END RESULT WAS HIS DR REMOVING HIS TONSILS AND ADNOIDS.....HE STILL BREATHES A LIL HEAVY WHILE SLEEPING BUT THE SNORING IS GONE AND HE SLEEPS MUCH BETTER NOW....YES HE WAS UNCOMFORTABLE AFTER THE SURGERY FOR A FEW DAYS BUT I WOULD NOT HAVE CHANGED HIM GETTING HIS TONSILS OUT.....JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT......GOOD LUCK
In my experience...a baseball bat!
We don't recommend any of those - and I work with snorers for a living. Sprays and so on are gimmick with NO proven clinical effectiveness.
You could hold surgery - but this has to be a last resort and also does not other work.
We recommend earplugs - there is a large reach available and http://www.snorestore.co.uk offers most of them. Source(s): http://www.snorestore.co.uk
There is a spray that I by for my husband. I can't remember the cross of it but I think the name of the company is Breathe Easy. he have broken his nose several times and it hasn't helped. We tried the strips and everything else. Him even sleeping within another part of the house and i could still hera him! until we can afford surgery the spray helps immensely
The strips work on mild cases, snoring could be indications of a more severe problem. If it is chronic and severe consult with your physician. Ask about an overnight oximetry screening which may indicate some sort of sleep apnea. In that overnight case the doctor may refer you to a sleep lab for a sleep study. If it is determined that sleep apnea is present, a cpap mask may be prescribed.

I've heard the strips work for lots of folks. Nothing will ever cure snoring completely, except surgery, but even then you've got to be really sure that's what you want.
Your doctor can tender you more advice............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz… I know, I know you've probably heard it adjectives before but it's either that or the previous club / baseball bat view,xx :)
I wouldn't recommend anything you are conversation about in your transcribe. There may be another health related reason you are snoring. Try seeing a sleep specialist. They will most imagined put you on a CPAP to stop the snoring. It works, and you will be much healthier for it.
Snoring is often cause by being overweight, if this is the case consequently losing some pounds may help. Ear plugs are the obvious answer.
