ooo i just learned roughly this at school people usually snore because they enjoy a disorder called Sleep Apnea (you can tell if the snoring isn't continuous resembling if he stops then suddenly snores then stops again) this cause their tong to fall back when they sleep on their put a bet on and block their air passage. so every time he snores his body is wake him up to remind him to breath. the cure is if he can try to get used to sleeping on his side and if that doesn't work you can go to the doctor and they pass you a breathing machine i don't remember what it's called but it will hold him from snoring all night.
ok hope that help and you can sleep well soon. Source(s): you can look it up on google there is even a website i know of it's www.SleepApnea.org

Not really- no. It depends on what is making him snore, really. If it's because of a sinus problem, then fixing that helps. But if it's simply the old chain saw type, aside from trying to reposition him, not much you can do except wear earplugs or sleep contained by another room. My chainsaw- I mean husband- also snores something awful. We've tried it all- the nose strips, the special pillows, you cross it- and I'm still stuck with earplugs and the couch when it really gets impossible. My sympathies to you, and if you find a cure, publicize it please.
He probably wishes tonsillectomy. I had one this summer because of snoring. It's relatively painless and you recover contained by about a week, with no snoring. Alternately, you can try anti-snoring strips which you put on your proboscis at night. They have mixed results, but the broad consensus is that they do not work.
people snores due to the tounge blocking the airway...it says that you hold to position the person who is snoring to one side to promote airway clearance...
sometimes people who snores are prone to heart diseases..to net sure, take him for some check ups...
you could pinch his upper/ lower part of his nose (i forgot)..
i tried it beside my brother and it worked, but it's just reducing the sound though..plus it's tiring and stopgap
