After 2 days of tonsils and adenoids operation,my 3yr out-of-date girl still snores and breathes from mouth..is it ok?
Answers:
Yes...I give attention to this is fine...it is still early days and there is bound to be a short time localized swelling from the surgery. See how things progress. If you're worried, ring your doctor to check.
Hope that helps
There is still alot of post op inflammation going on. Let her heal, offer her a week or two to see if you see a difference. The docs informed me that a tonsilectomy is not a cure all for snoring.Good luck and discuss your concerns with your ENT
When I was your daughter's age, I had my tonsils and adenoids removed and I still snored. I also breathed through my mouth adjectives the time. When I was in my thirties, I arranged to find out why. It turned out I had a severely deviated septum which the doctor said blocked one side of my nose almost completely.
They very soon know that not being able to breathe freely contributes to plumpness and sleep apnea. Because of my experience and those reasons, I very strongly suggest that you rob your daughter to a ear, nose and throat specialist who deals next to children. Don't let them pooh-pooh you that she will outgrow it. Please pursue it for your daughter's sake.
All the best...
